Spanish, Beginning (Sonoma County)
This is a Beginning class for levels 1-2.
The focus of this 45-hour Spanish Language Class is to improve oral and written language skills through a communication-based approach. Students read and discuss selected literature (including children’s literature), write compositions about specific themes, and practice grammar activities in preparation for BCLAD examination. In addition, participants are asked to complete at least one hour of independent study per class meeting. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes are distinguished by the requirements of grammatical tense, syntax, and vocabulary usage and the level of conversation and writing assignments required.
This class meets once a week for approximately 15 weeks. On weeks when a holiday falls on a Monday, class will be held on Tuesday.
Credit: Three units of upper division extended education credit available for $55 per unit through Sonoma State University; application available at first class meeting.
