Supporting English Language Development in Young Learners
This teaching symposium is for all educators, specialists, and administrators serving TK and Kindergarten students. Participants will learn research-based strategies to support the English language development of young learners. Teachers will have an opportunity to plan curriculum and design classroom environments that will support their students.
Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided. Participants will have an opportunity to make materials for use in their classrooms.

Check (paid by you or your district/school via a purchase order process): After you register you will receive a confirmation / invoice. If you are paying for the event yourself, print your confirmation / invoice, attach your check, and mail as indicated. If your district or school is paying for the event, please forward your confirmation / invoice to the appropriate person so that a check can be processed via your district/school's purchase order (PO) process. SCOE does not require a copy of the PO, as an invoice is sent at the time of event registration. Credit card (PayPal): You must enter credit card information at the time of registration. If you are being reimbursed for this event, follow your district/school guidelines for reimbursement.

Recommended books are the Preschool Learning Foundations Vol. 1, Preschool Curriculum Frameworks Vol. 1 (CDE Press) and Developmentally Appropriate Practice by Bredekamp.
.5 continuing education unit (CEU) from Humboldt State University will be available upon request for $25. Participants must attend this full day of the class to be eligible for the CEU.
