Construction Expo

• SCOE actively participates in the annual Careers in Construction Expo, which is sponsored by the North Coast Builders Exchange along with various construction trade groups and companies. Hundreds of students from across Sonoma County are bused to this event to watch demonstrations, learn about future employment opportunities and job requirements, talk with people in the industry, and participate in hands-on projects guided by professionals.

Middle School Career Exploration Symposium

• The Middle School Career Exploration Symposium provides an opportunity for teachers, counselors, board members, and administrators to hear about and share promising practices that infuse career awareness and exploration activities into the middle school curriculum.

• The Sonoma County Office of Education is co-sponsoring a College and Career-Ready Fair on September 11 at Windsor High School. This event draws hundreds of high school students from Sonoma County looking to prepare for their future in the 21st Century.

Sonoma County Maker Kids Mini-Maker Faire

• The Sonoma County Maker Kids Mini-Maker Faire is a youth-oriented DIY (Do-It-Yourself) event that promotes science, technology, engineering, and math. Kids of all ages are encouraged to show off their creations and take part in hands-on activities at this fun, free event. The Mini-Maker Faire is sponsored by the Sonoma Country Day School, Sonoma County Children’s Museum, and Sonoma County Office of Education.
