Women's Night Out Series, from Kaiser Permanente

Complete a health assessment; win $40 to $70 in rewards
If you have Kaiser Permanente medical coverage through RESIG, you can earn a $50 gift card by completing the Kaiser Total Health Assessment between February 1 and September 30, 2010. Note that once you complete the assessment, you must go back to the website to claim your reward – it's a two-step process.
SCOE Blue Shield members can receive a $40 reward for completing Blue Shield's online health assessment, then earn an additional $30 for working with the online health coach. See these instructions (pdf) for more information and details on how to get started.

Stretching Videos
SCOE’s Health and Safety Committee encourages employees who work at computers all day to take brief stretching breaks to help alleviate stress and reduce body aches. The following videos feature Susan Volpi Palmer, a physical therapist and ergonomic consultant. She demonstrates a series of stretching exercises and discusses the techniques that will bring maximum benefit.

Stretching Pointers: Here are some important pointers about stretching exercises … when to do them, for how long, etc.
Chin Tuck: Susan Volpi Palmer demonstrates an exercise designed to help the lower back part of the neck
Extensor Stretch: Extensor stretches benefit the area of your arm between your wrist and elbow
Front Shoulder Stretch: The muscles, nerves, ligaments, and joints in the front of the shoulder are targeted in this exercise
Inner Forearm Stretch: This simple stretch can be done sitting or standing and exercises arms, backs, and shoulders
Lateral Neck Stretch: The lateral neck stretch is an exercise that addresses upper shoulder discomfort
Mid-Back Stretch: Mid-back stretches pinpoint the area of the back between the shoulder blades
Pivot Prone Stretch: This exercise addresses the front of the shoulders and the mid-back
Standing Back Extension: This standing stretch will benefit the lower back area
