Response to Intervention
Researcher Mike Vanderwood, PhD, from the University of California-Riverside, has been involved in a pilot project to implement Response to Intervention (RTI) concepts in 12 Sonoma County schools. The pilot, a collaborative initiative supported by the Sonoma County SELPA and SCOE, was initiated in 2008-09 with a goal of improving student achievement in literacy.
This series of videos presents a March 2009 interview with Dr. Vanderwood conducted by John Namkung, who was the director of the Sonoma County SELPA until his retirement in June 2009.
