Videos highlight the power of partnerships

11/19/2013 - When the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) held its fall conference in Sonoma County, SCOE and the other counties in the North Coast region served as hosts, welcoming 58 county superintendents and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to the region. Outside of the regular conference agenda, many of the auxiliary activities showcased Sonoma County schools and programs.

One of the ways that the conference featured local initiatives was via a panel discussion and videos highlighting the Power of Community Partnerships. Two Sonoma County programs were featured — Cradle to Career and Schools of Hope.

Schools of Hope (6:53) | Nov 2013 United Way’s Schools of Hope program helps children build critical early reading skills. The program recruits and trains community volunteers to tutor students one-on-one.
