Sonoma County Cardboard Challenge, Oct 11

09/22/2014 - SCOE and its ieSonoma partners have announced that the first annual Sonoma County Cardboard Challenge will be held Saturday, October 11, from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds’ Hall of Flowers, 1350 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa. Kids of all ages are invited to this free event to build, play, and share their cardboard creations.

Sonoma County schools are encouraged to distribute this event announcement (pdf) to teachers, students, and parents and encourage them to join the fun. Students can build creations on-site or bring “pre-built” cardboard creations for others to see and play with. Some amazing cardboard creations from local high school Make programs will also be on display.

The Sonoma County Cardboard Challenge has been scheduled to coincide with the Imagination Foundation’s Third Annual Global Cardboard Challenge, a worldwide celebration of child creativity that was inspired by Caine’s Arcade.
