Recognize your outstanding classified employees

01/25/2016 - Blue RibbonSonoma County schools and districts are invited to participate in the statewide Classified School Employee of the Year (CSEY) program for 2016. This program highlights the contributions of classified employees throughout California who support pre-kindergarten to grade 12 public schools.

Schools and districts may nominate non-management classified employees for award consideration on a county level. Completed applications are due by February 19, 2016. A local judging panel will select Sonoma County finalists, who will then advance to the statewide awards program. At both the county and state level, one award will be given in six staffing categories:

—Child Nutrition
—Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities
—Office and Technical
—Para-Educator and Instructional Assistance
—Support Services and Security
—Transportation

To nominate a classified employee, reference the following documents and submit the required forms by February 19:

Information Sheet (pdf) with eligibility details
Nominee Information Form (doc) – one for each nominee
Nominee Recommendation Form (doc) – three for each nominee


The forms are fillable Word documents that can be completed on the computer. Please email the completed forms to Michael Juric, SCOE Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, at mjuric@scoe.org, with a copy to Patti Springer at pspringer@scoe.org. by February 19. Note that the Nominee Information Form must include the employee’s signature and will need to be scanned prior to emailing.
