April 4 | Administrator award nomination deadline
SCASA is now accepting nominations for its annual Administrator or the Year Awards. Please forward the names of your nominees by completing this nomination form (pdf) and submitting it by the April 4, 2014 deadline. Awards will be announced on April 28 and presented on May 5.

April 1 | EL Scholarship application deadline
SCASA is offering $500 scholarships to high school seniors who have been classified as English Learners at some point in their educational career and who are continuing to college for the 2014-15 school year. The scholarship application form (pdf) is due by April 1.

Feb | New Format for the SCASA Book Club
See this announcement (pdf) for information about SCASA’s new online book club. The goal of the online format is to foster 21st century collaboration and the sharing of thoughts and insights without travel and schedule conflicts.

Jan 31 | ASCA Every Student Successful Program
Each year, ASCA honors one student from each region who has overcome obstacles to exceed expectations and the educators who support them along the way. The SCASA Board requests Sonoma County nominees for this award. Nominations are due January 31, 2014. See this information sheet (pdf) for additional details.
