The Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) and partner agencies hosted a cohort of local middle school students during this week's four-day STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) summer camp at Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC).

Tinker Academy MINI is a partnership between SCOE, SRJC, University of California Cooperative Extension 4-H, and Career Technical Education Foundation of Sonoma County, and is funded by the Imagine Science Network. This year’s cohort includes 24 students who are entering grades 6-9.

The camp gives students hands-on experience with STEM-related activities such as coding, 3D printing, robotics, and design challenges. This year’s camp ended with a showcase on Friday, July 18, in which students present their projects to families, friends, and SCOE staff.
