COVID-19 and Health Information 2025-26
SCOE Guidelines
The Sonoma County Office of Education has aligned with updated health guidelines from California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the County of Sonoma Department of Health Services.
When Experiencing Illness:
Employees, contractors and students experiencing illness are requested to stay home and test for COVID-19. Test kits are available at your school or worksite.
Employees Experiencing COVID-19:
Employees who test positive are required to contact their supervisor and stay home until symptoms are resolved or resolving and they are fever-free without use of medication for 24 hours.
Students Experiencing COVID-19:
Students who test positive are recommended to notify their teacher and stay home until symptoms are resolved or resolving and they are fever-free without use of medication for 24hours.
Specialized Healthcare Services (SHS) Staff:
Specialized Healthcare Services (SHS) Staff providing health care procedures will mask while performing the procedure with students until March 31, 2026 unless otherwise directed by the Sonoma County Public Health Officer, CAL-OSHA, and/or the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE). Order of the Health Officer of Sonoma County No.RVP 25-01. Specialized Healthcare Services (SHS) Staff providing activities of daily living are recommended to mask while engaging in these activities (i.e. feeding, toileting, changing) until March 31, 2026 unless otherwise directed by the Sonoma County Public Health Officer, CAL-OSHA, and/or the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE).
