Over 300 educators are slated to attend the first annual Google for Education Summit on April 9 & 10 at Windsor High School.  The summit is a collaboration between the Sonoma County Office of Education, Windsor Unified School District, and the EdTechTeam.

Featuring over 40 different sessions, this year’s summit aims to help educators deploy, integrate, and use Google Apps for Education to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The Saturday & Sunday event features Google for Education Innovative Educators, Google for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, and other solution providers.

Keynote presentations for this year’s summit include:

  • Singing Songs of Success by Rushton Hurley
  • Fueling Future-Ready Students with 20time by Kevin Brookhouser
  • #OneNewThing by Lisa Thumann

Other sessions target specific interest groups (eg. primary, middle, secondary, future ready, iPad) and audiences (eg. beginners, intermediate, advanced, geeky).  A tentative schedule with comprehensive weekend offerings is provided here.
