Suicide Risk Assessment Practice Group Virtual Offerings for 21/22
The Suicide Risk Assessment Practice Group is an ongoing group consultation series hosted 3 times during the 2021-22 school year. It is not a progressive series, so participants may attend any or all of these groups as interest and time allows.
Registering on this page will sign you up for all three group consultation dates. You may sign up for individual dates by clicking the links below:
The Practice Group is intended as a forum for practicing school-based counselors, psychologists, and clinicians to gain experience in conducting suicide risk assessments.
Topics will include universal screening tools, risk assessment tools, best practices for conducting assessments, and resource connections/follow-up procedures.
There will be an emphasis on actual risk assessment practice, and participants will receive feedback, coaching, and guidance from peers in hypothetical and real-life practice scenarios.
