This is part 2 in a series of 4 that covers all aspects of the 14 practices in Building Thinking Classrooms. Part 2 will be offered 3 times (9/26/24, 9/28/24, 10/23/24). See below for links to Building Thinking Classrooms: Part 1, 3 and 4.

Part 2, centered on chapters 5-9, explores using your adopted curriculum to drive the transformative shifts in teacher practice that cultivate student agency and autonomy. Learn strategies to use your adopted curriculum to create conditions that foster cognitively independent learners, ensuring equitable access to grade-level content. Together, the practices outlined in these chapters empower educators to nurture a classroom environment where every student can thrive.
