2025 Williams Review: What to Expect and Best Practices
This informational meeting is designed to support school and district teams who will be reviewed for Williams in the 2025-26 school year. Every three years, the California Department of Education identifies a variety of schools from all districts and counties to review and ensure students have equal access to the basics of a quality education including:
- Textbooks and instructional materials
- Safe and decent school facilities
- Qualified teachers
- Accurate reporting on the School Accountability Report Card
- An up to day Uniform Complaint policy & procedure for alleged violation
This session will review the requirements pertaining to Williams Act. Participants will obtain access to the tools that are used to monitor and review their district and schools, access to sample materials that will be necessary in all classrooms/schools, and the timeline for the 2025 review process. The goal of this session is to set schools up for success during their review.
