Math in the Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten World
A unique opportunity to engage in a series of math-specific professional learning experiences, designed for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten teachers.
Math for young learners in TK and kindergarten can be so much for than worksheets. Come join teachers from around the region to enhance math teaching and learning in your classroom. Each of the sessions is designed to prepare you to provide instructionally sound math activities that are well-suited to the developmental needs of your students. We will focus on centers, big projects, and games that simultaneously support robust mathematics learning and formative assessment.
Kathy Morris, Ph.D., Sonoma State Professor Emerita, and Josh Deis, Sonoma County Office of Education Mathematics Coordinator, bring a combined 15 years of classroom experience and nearly 45 years of supporting regional teachers in mathematics. They have collaborated on a wide range of projects over the last decade.
