Diagnostic Center North: Creating an Effective Behavior Intervention Plan: Writing a plan with appropriate replacement behaviors and reinforcement systems.
The implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) is only as effective as the precision, specificity, and creativeness of the written plan. This training will cover how to accurately align individualized replacement behaviors to function, select and appropriate reinforcement system, and write measurable goals to track progress. Included in this training will be practical tools for writing BIPs that are user friendly to those implementing them while also providing enough detail that consistent implementation with fidelity is more likely.
- Gained an increased understanding about necessary components of a Behavior Intervention Plan.
- Learn how to create aligned pathways between function of behavior and functionally equivalent replacement behaviors.
- Engage in case discussion to identify appropriate, creative, and doable reinforcement systems.
- Take away key concepts in writing a comprehensive BIP.

This course meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for LEPs, LPCCs, LMFTs and LCSWs. This course also qualifies for 3 hours of continuing professional development for Nationally Certified School Psychologists, under provider number 1025. The California Association of School Psychologists maintains responsibility for the program and its content. Cost for the credit is $20 per certificate. Pay this fee in advance, by check, or on the day of the training. Day of payment may be cash or check. Make checks payable to CASP.

SCOE does not require a copy of the PO, as an invoice is sent at the time of event registration.
