Health Education Professional Learning Series

Developed by Orange County Department of Education in Partnership with California Department of Education

The California Health Education Framework (HEF) Rollout Project aims to shift TK-12 educators to more advanced student-centered, skill-based teaching and learning practices, as well as health content, while building a statewide system of support for health education. A series of professional learning opportunities will be provided in 2021.

• Develop a deeper understanding of the CA Health Education Framework guidance

• Connect with other educators to build your health education tool box

Each session has two parts:

1. Online module to complete prior to the synchronous meeting
2. Four sessions via Zoom

A stipend of up to $600 ($150 per session x 4 sessions) will be offered to Sonoma County public school/district attendees that attend and complete all components of the series (session attendance AND completion of the online modules). This stipend will be paid to the district of the attendee, and the district will pay the stipend recipient via payroll.

When	Four session series offered in 2020/21: Tuesday, January 12; Thursday, January 21; Thursday, February 18; Thursday, March 11 OR Thursday, March 25, 2021 2:00pm - 4:00pm
