WIAT-4
This workshop introduces the fourth edition of the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-4: 2020), a comprehensive assessment of oral language, reading, written expression, and mathematics. The WIAT-4 contains significant revisions relative to its predecessor (WIAT-III: 2009). Updated norms, new subtests and composites, revised subtests with new items and improved content coverage, updated artwork, and modifications to administration and scoring procedures enhance the user friendliness and clinical utility of the test. The WIAT-4 also retains many of the features of the WIAT-III that made it an important component of a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation focused on determining a student’s eligibility for direct specialized instruction and identifying his or her academic needs. During this workshop, the presenter will describe changes from the WIAT-III to the WIAT-4; identify subtests and composites new to the WIAT-4; and discuss how professionals can use WIAT-4 results to determine eligibility for specialized services and identify goals for intervention. The newest edition of the WIAT® has some exciting updates to help you identify what support your students need to achieve even more. The WIAT-4 goes beyond the what to uncover the why, measuring the key processing areas that drive achievement. Some of the most exciting updates include: 5 new subtests. 5 new composite scores. Scoring Updates -Simplified Sentence Composition scoring rules AND Automated scoring of Essay Composition Also included! Dyslexia Index Scores incorporated in every kit
