Curriculum Council Members:
The California State Board of Education adopted the ELA/ELD Framework in 2014 in an effort to support and incorporate the California Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects (CA CCSS for ELA/Literacy) and the California English Language Development Standards (CA ELD Standards).
In response to requests from district and site-level administrators, SCOE/Educational Support Services is hosting an augmented session of Curriculum Council on March 6, which will provide participants with an overview of the Framework and suggestions for how to bring the Framework alive in their classrooms.
The regularly scheduled Curriculum Council session will take place from 9:15-11:15 and will be followed by the additional ELA/ELD Framework session from 11:30-2:30. Lunch will be provided. We encourage all administrators to attend!
