Homework for March 11 | ELD Professional Learning Module
Explore this Brokers of Expertise ELD Professional Module and be prepared to discuss the following questions at our next meeting:

  • What did you learn about the ELD Standards from this module?
  • What elements of the module could you see yourself using with your colleagues, staff, or district?

CA Ed Code for reclassification of ELs | CDE Letter (pdf)
This letter was sent by the CDE to school districts in December. It addresses the academic criterion for reclassification during the 2013-14 school year and also cites the four mandatory criteria for reclassification under CA Ed Code.

Accessing CELDT analysis data from Rick Phelan
If you would like Rick to create a CD for you, please follow these steps:

  1. Log on the EDS site (district CELDT coordinators have the login and password).
  2. Click on “Student Test Results.”
  3. Download Monthly Student Score Files (select and download results for each available month using the CSV-Comma-separated File Format). Note that there may be information files from August, September, October, etc.
  4. Email the file(s) as an attachment to Rick Phelan, rphelan@scoe.org.
