Personnel Updates

We have some personnel updates within the division that I want to share with you.

  • Toni Beal starts her position as Administrator for Resources and Accountability today. Toni will oversee our LCAP responsibilities, and will bring her unique expertise to this new and very complex process. Her office is next to Dan’s office and across from Imelda. Please stop by to welcome her to the team!
  • Jeannine Hothan has asked that I share that she is making a very exciting transition in her life, and will be leaving Sonoma County at the end of this week to move to Willows. Her nephews Maddox and Mason, along with her niece Bailey (just ask Jeannine about them and you'll see why she's moving!), are thrilled to have their auntie living closer. Jeannine has a job waiting her at the Glenn County Office of Education. We are very happy for her, and will miss her smile, laugh, and hard work as she makes this transition. Jeannine’s last day in the office will be this Wednesday, February 26th. Please join us at 12:45pm on Wednesday for some treats in La Ventana Room to celebrate her new journey!
  • If you haven't noticed....ESS is expecting a baby! Ok, so it's not “our” baby. Jenn Meyers is expecting a baby and will start her maternity leave time on May 15th to move into the world of diapers, bottles, and sleep deprivation. Doesn't that make parenthood sound so great!! We are very excited for Jenn and Francisco, and look forward to meeting their little guy (boy!) once he arrives.
  • Sam Facendini has been Teacher on Loan with ESS for the past 1.5 years, and her "term" with us ends in June 2014. In typical Sam fashion, she already has a new job lined up. She will be working with the Napa School District in guiding their implementation of all things Common Core. Major congratulations to Sam!!

Join me in congratulating these members of our team on the next adventures they have awaiting them!!

"I like Amarosa because there's a much smaller student count and so teachers can be one-on-one with you. They can actually help you and be one-on-one with you while the class is doing something else. I feel like that's a huge game-changer." - Leilan, Student
