I wanted to share with you all the most current information regarding positions that are currently being posted for ESS.

Due to a retirement in certificated management within ESS earlier this year and other existing position vacancies, we've been able to re-think what the current needs are within the department and broaden our support into important areas by reallocating existing funds. After reorganizing these funds and collecting input regarding current needs, we've been able to post two new certificated positions for ESS:

  • Program Director I: Director of Early Literacy and School Readiness - See the below job posting. This is a very specialized position - someone who can work with the community on all things Pre K and also work with the K-12 system on all things K-3! If you know of anyone who would be interested, please share the posting.
  • Curriculum Coordinator: Student Engagement Coordinator - See the below job posting. This is also a very specialized position - someone who can help schools and districts create and maintain the environments in their schools and classrooms that support the teaching and learning styles of the 21st Century ! If you know of anyone who would be interested, please share the posting.

At this time, the vacant Leadership Initiatives director position will not be filled. Both Toni Beal and Karen McGahey will continue to lead the great Leadership work already occurring. One Leadership Initiatives area that Toni has been leading is the Tier 2 Administrator Credential Program. We're preparing to host a Tier 2 Administrator Credential Program within Sonoma County, and are now currently recruiting for qualified coaches who will be provided with a stipend for coaching program candidates. The eligibility pool recruitment for these coaches has been posted, and the job posting is also found below. If you know of anyone who would be interested, please share the posting.

I hope you're all as excited about these new opportunities as I am! I am looking forward to a wonderful year in 2015-16.

Mickey
