SCOE Student Enterprise: Making and Learning

09/17/2018 -

The Sonoma County Office of Education's Transition Program is designed to “teach work” to special education students, age 18-22, and to support their growth into adulthood. Thanks to a grant from the Sonoma County Board of Education, Transition students are getting an exciting new opportunity to be makers and entrepreneurs. The grant enabled the Transition Program to purchase equipment that allows the students to design and make useful items for sale, from graphics to go on t-shirts, to key chains, and much more.

Items will be available for order to school districts or anyone wishing to support the program. More information will be available soon, but for now questions can be directed to SCOE Principal Dana Zapanta, dzapanta@scoe.org.
