PSPS Update for Wednesday, Oct. 9

10/09/2019 -

This is an update on the PG&E PSPS event and how it impacts SCOE staff. SCOE's Skylane building has power today, and we are told that no additional power outages are expected at this time. All staff who are not working today can expect to receive full compensation for the working day.

If you have any questions, please contact your department supervisor. As of now, SCOE plans for its Skylane campus to be open and fully operational on Thursday, Oct. 10. Should you need to remain home for childcare or other reasons, please plan to use a personal necessity or sick day for that time.

The weather forecast is still for extreme high winds between 8:00pm tonight and 5:00am tomorrow morning, Oct. 10. The good news is that no additional power outages are expected at this time. This is subject to change with shifts in weather conditions. If anything changes that impacts SCOE operations or employees, we will send additional updates later today.

Please check your email or the SCOE employee center to stay up to date. As well, if you know a colleague who may not be able to access work email from home, please share this update with them over phone or text.
