Sonoma County STEAM Showcase
Please join us for the 2027 Sonoma County STEAM Showcase! The 2027 STEAM Showcase will be Tuesday, March 2, 2027 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. The theme for this year is Patterns and Relationships. This free event, open to all students in TK-12th grade in the county, invites students to design and show theme-related projects integrating two or more areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). During the full day Showcase, students will present their projects to community evaluators while also engaging in hands-on STEAM activities and challenges. Students may enter the showcase as individuals or groups, which can be as large as a whole class. Student projects will be evaluated using the rubric linked HERE. Each project should have a mentor (teacher, counselor, parent, after school leader, etc.). The first step is for a mentor to attend a virtual information session in September and submit the Intent to Participate form in November. Theme: Patterns and Relationships
We are inviting students to explore the patterns and relationships everywhere in our world! Patterns are events, processes, and/or structures that repeat in ways that can be observed and described. Relationships are the ways that different entities affect, impact, or connect with each other.
Possible Guiding Questions:

How can we use patterns to predict, design, create, or solve problems?

What relationships shape the way natural and human-made systems work?

How do patterns and relationships help us understand, explain, and improve the world around us?
