Celebrating SCOE's Team Player, Dania Benavides Torres

05/02/2024 -

Dania Benavides Torres Team Player 2023SCOE's Personnel Commission is pleased to announce that Dania Benavides Torres, Lead Custodian, has been selected as this year's Team Player. The award, given each spring to a SCOE classified employee, recognizes outstanding performance, integrity, and customer service.

“Dania is such an integral part of SCOE,” her nomination reads. “As the first one on site, and making sure the building is ready for the day, she is in charge of ALL of the MANY setups that need to take place in each of our conference rooms daily.

“On busy days, I also see her helping to direct participants into the correct meeting room. And being multilingual, she has been a great help when Spanish speakers come to the building in need of assistance, helping them to feel welcomed.”

We will honor Dania during a reception hosted by the Personnel Commission at 4 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Staff Lounge and Patio.

Dania was one of 11 outstanding employees nominated for Team Player. We would like to recognize and thank all of the nominees for their hard work. Congratulations to nominees Stefania Cappi, Sarah Dethlefsen, Angie Duplicki, Rene Hernandez, Jeff Jackson, Dan Miller, Steve Pullen, Amanda Snook, Yesenia Rivas Suarez, and Tony Vorreiter.
