SCOE co-hosts conference for California county superintendents

10/16/2013 - The California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) will hold its 40th annual fall conference in Sonoma County this year. The Sonoma County Office of Education is one of five county education offices in the North Coast region that will serve as conference hosts.

The State Superintendent of Public Instruction and the 58 county superintendents from across California will convene to share resources and information impacting public education. Specific topics for review and discussion will include the new state laws affecting school finance, known as the Local Control Funding Formula and Local Control Accountability Program. Additionally, a video presentation on the Power of Partnerships will showcase Sonoma County schools and feature local initiatives.

The conference will take place October 20-22 at the Hilton Hotel in Santa Rosa.
