Coming Jan 1: Immunization exemption requirements

10/18/2013 - Assembly Bill 2109, Communicable Disease Immunization Exemption, will go into effect on January 1, 2014. Under this new law, parents or guardians who want to exempt their child from school or childcare immunization requirements must first receive information from a licensed healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of vaccinations and the risks of vaccine-preventable diseases.
