Remote ELPAC Testing Meeting

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14th at 10:00am

Educational Testing Services (ETS) will be holding a meeting to discuss remote testing for ELPAC. Please see the email below, which was sent to LEA ELPAC Coordinators.

Dear LEA ELPAC Coordinator:

We understand that you may have questions and concerns about the upcoming remote testing for the ELPAC. The CDE and ETS are currently working on guidelines for local educational agencies (LEAs).

ETS would like to invite you to a Remote Testing Zoom meeting this Friday, August 14, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon. The first part of the meeting will be used to provide an overview of the proposed guidelines. The remainder of the meeting will be spent answering questions from you and your colleagues throughout the state.

The Remote Testing meeting is open for LEA ELPAC coordinators or others within your LEA who would benefit from learning about remote testing guidelines. We would ask that your LEA have no more than two representatives attend.

Please RSVP by completing this online survey. The Zoom meeting information will be sent to respondents on Thursday afternoon.

We look forward to meeting with as many coordinators as possible.

Sincerely,

Jackie Strasz

Parent Notification Letters

The CDE has released a sample notification for LEAs to inform parents of the interim process to identify English learners and provide ELD until the Initial ELPAC can be administered. It will be translated into the top five languages shortly. In the meantime, you can find the letter in English here.

For the annual parent notification letter, LEAs should use the most recent ELPAC scores available.
