Counselor Collaborative: Spring 2022 Convening (Virtual Offering)
The Counselor Collaborative is a biannual convening of elementary, middle, and high school counselors and related service providers. Each session consists of professional development activities that are related to issues identified by collaborative participants. Meetings feature guest speakers and interactive discussions on topics related to advancing the social, emotional and academic growth of Sonoma County students. This Spring's event will be hosted by the Special Education and Behavioral Health Department at SCOE.

Cohen, MD: Click here for Dr. Cohen's bio This presentation will introduce participants to Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT, https://tfcbt.org), an evidence-based treatment for youth ages 3-18 years and their parents or primary caregivers, and the model’s application for youth with traumatic grief, defined as developing trauma and maladaptive grief responses to the death of an important attachment figure. |
