Nina Reeves - School Age-Stuttering Therapy: What Does Therapy Look Like?

Are you struggling with finding the right techniques to help your school-age students who stutter? You’re not alone! Many SLPs report decreased confidence in their ability to help students with fluency disorders. This full-day seminar will provide an overview of the speech handling techniques for school-age stuttering therapy. There will also be time devoted to role-plays and demonstrations of hands-on, practical therapy activities you can “use on Monday!”

Join us to review and practice activities designed to help increase our efficiency and effectiveness in stuttering therapy!

NOTE: Bring along a favorite therapy activity (of any kind) and we will turn it into a stuttering therapy activity!

Learning outcomes:

  • Devise a statement regarding an understanding of the overall goals and process of school-age stuttering therapy.
  • Integrate communication skills and speech management techniques successfully in the therapy process.
  • Demonstrate stuttering behaviors and speech management techniques for use in therapy activities.

Level: Intermediate

Professional Development hours will be provided.
