Trauma-informed Practices for School District Paraprofessionals

This two-part workshop is designed to support Sonoma County classroom paraprofessionals in understanding the basics of trauma-informed teaching, the connection between student behavior and mental health, and strategies for positive behavior interventions.

These in-person trainings are hosted at SCOE's Teacher Learning Center from 3:30-5:00 PM on two consecutive days: May 5th and 6th, 2022.

Paraprofessionals from Sonoma County school districts are eligible to receive a $200 stipend for attending these two sessions. In order to receive a stipend, attendees must be present for both sessions and complete a questionnaire at the end. Participants in the previous Nov 2020 "Special Education Nuts and Bolts" training are not eligible for this stipend. The stipend will be processed to the attendee through their home district.
