History/Social Science Region 1 CLIC: Teaching About Genocide (Virtual)
Join us for a workshop on teaching about genocide with Sara Cohan from the Genocide Education Project. This 90 minute workshop will provide educators with resources to teach about the Armenian Genocide, the prototype for 20th and 21st century genocides, a highlighted topic in the new history/social science framework. The workshop will also focus on the Native American Genocide with specific examples from our geographic region. We encourage all middle and high school history/social science teachers to participate in this workshop.
