How do you describe your job to people outside SCOE?
Same how I tell you all, I work in IT.
Where did you grow up?
San Francisco, CA
Who was your favorite childhood teacher and why?
Ms. Engle, my Algebra, AP Calculus teacher. She believed an A grade truly meant above average. The whole class got a 2.5 average GPA yet the entire class passed the AP test at the end of the year. She pushed everyone to understand the material instead of memorizing formulas which definitely helped me in the long run.
What is your favorite thing about SCOE?
The atmosphere. The sense of a community here keeps me coming back.
What is one of your most memorable moments as a SCOE employee?
The entire IT department all wore “things” costumes for Halloween a few years back.
Outside of work, what is your favorite hobby or way to unwind?
Most already know, but my wife and I love racing and our latest focus has been on honing our driving skills. We’ve attended driving schools, racing track days and attempted to get as much seat time at the race track. We recently bought a racing simulator at home to further keep our skills sharp. The other “hobby” is Disneyland.
What is your favorite place in Sonoma County?
Sonoma Raceway. Figures huh?
What might people be surprised to learn about you?
I live in the East Bay and commute 114miles a day. In my 5 years here, that’s roughly 150k miles. That’s a lot of podcasts!
