Hundreds of teachers attend Google Apps summit

More than 300 educators spent their weekend attending the first annual Sonoma County Google for Education Summit at Windsor High School on April 9 and 10. The summit was a collaboration between the Sonoma County Office of Education, Windsor Unified School District, and the EdTechTeam.
It featured over 40 different sessions geared to helping educators deploy, integrate, and use Google Apps for Education to promote student learning.
Keynote presentations included:
- Singing Songs of Success by Rushton Hurley
- Fueling Future-Ready Students with 20time by Kevin Brookhouser
- Other sessions targeted specific audiences and interest groups.
Presenters from Sonoma County included: Jacob Lopez (Bellevue USD), Laura Bradley (Petaluma City Schools), Sasha Oster (Santa Rosa City Schools), Bill Singer (Santa Rosa City Schools) and Rick Phelan (Sonoma County Office of Education).
