The use of tablets is on the rise in many schools. Educators are acquiring new tablet technologies—iPad, Kindle Fire, Nexus 7, or other Android tablets—as part of their basic classroom teaching tools. Tablets are also being acquired in sets for student learning activities. The utility and value of tablets can be extended through various accessories. This blog post offers some ideas for accessorizing tablets to maximize their use and ensure protection.
Cases
It’s a good idea to protect your tablet with some kind of case. There are at least three different types of cases available. The type of case that’s right for you will depend on your planned use. When selecting a case, make sure that it fits correctly and provides access to power buttons, charging ports, the camera lens, volume controls, and related accessories.
A portfolio is a flat case with a ‘flap’ that flips open to provide access to your tablet. The flap ensures additional protection to your screen when the tablet is not in use. Possibilities include:
