The Best of GLAD: High Leverage Strategies for Multilingual Learners

The Best of GLAD Workshop is designed to support teachers in implementing standards-based content through sketching, pictures, chants and media with corresponding academic language. Deep cognition is developed through well-designed lessons building upon brain, biliteracy, language acquisition and reading and writing research. Participants will explore effective, engaging strategies to scaffold the development of academic language and literacy, while strengthening content comprehension of all learners. This interactive workshop also navigates Designated/Integrated ELD and SEL strategies which support and celebrate our multilingual learners.

This professional learning opportunity is open only to Sonoma County educators. Since space is limited to 50 educators, each LEA may only send up to two people.
