Autism 101 - Putting the Pieces Together
This 2 hour basic training is designed to support educators in increasing their knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder, related behavior challenges, learning styles, and practical examples of evidenced based practices for the classroom environment. This training is intended for educational staff new to working with children with ASD or staff who have some experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum but would like additional information.
Learning Objectives:- Learn about general behavioral characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Learn about general learning styles of a student with ASD.
- Learn about Evidenced Based Practices (EBP) and how to choose an EBP for a specific student.
