Library Media Services

Services for Contracting Schools

Books, Videos, and Instructional Resources

The library/media collection provides teachers with theme boxes, nonfiction books, literature sets, videos, DVDs, books on CD, and special items like interactive LeapPads and Terwilliger nature kits. Materials can be ordered online, by phone, or in person. All teachers from contracting schools have free access to the collection, while individual teachers from schools without contracts can obtain resources on a cash and carry basis.

Delivery Services

Mail and equipment delivery services are available to contracting schools and districts in Sonoma County. This service provides weekly delivery of library and media materials, equipment, and correspondence.

Schools contracting for SCOE Library services gain access to the following eResources:

  • Associated Press Multimedia Archive
  • BrainPOP and BrainPop Junior (standards-based animated movies for K-12 - available in dual language)
  • California Streaming
  • Explora (includes Middle Search Plus and professional database for teachers)
  • World Book Online

Each resource enables teachers and students to search for curriculum-relevant support and information. Websites are available via password and can be accessed at school, in the library, or from home.

Laminator, Chart Maker, and Die-Cut Machine
