Important Meeting – Friday, March 6!

Date: 03/02/2015
Author: Mickey Porter

This Friday is a very important Curriculum Council meeting. Join us at 9:15am in the Gravenstein Room at SCOE. As requested at the last meeting, we will have a short presentation and discussion about how to meet the needs of GATE students in our schools. There will also be a follow-up on our Bright Bytes discussion, including how the survey information can inform your LCAP and help you prepare students for the technology skills needed for SBAC. We’ll update you on the latest news about California’s accountability system and give you an opportunity to ask questions about SBAC administration.

Please send any other items you would like added to the agenda to mporter@scoe.org.

Directly after Curriculum Council, there will be a presentation on the ELA/ELD Framework, which is a landmark document for the education system in California. The presentation will start at 11:30am and end at 2:30pm. A working lunch will be provided. Curriculum Council attendees are encouraged to stay for the presentation. Note that all attendees – including those attending Curriculum Council – must register online by Wednesday, March 4.
